Gulgula, Kakheti - Eastern Georgia
BioMarani is located in the the beautiful village of Gulgula, in the heart of the Alazani valley, at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, in the wine region of Kakheti. The 15.5 hectares of vineyards are in the Tsinandali microzone which has a subtropical, humid climate with hot summers and cold winters.
They are an artisan family winery producing 100% certified organic, handcrafted qvevri wines. Their focus is primarily on producing Khikivi, Saperavi and Kisi wines, with small plantings of Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli for future projects.
The aim at BioMarani is to take you back in a time machine, to how wine was made centuries ago, without additives, herbicides, or pesticides, to taste Georgia at its purest.
